alchemia-nova is a research & development driven SME focusing on innovative applied plant chemistry with the aim to close loops and facilitate circular economy in combination with nature-based solutions. alchemia-nova has expertise on (i) valorisation of natural resources and agricultural by-products (biogenic substitutes for fossil products, cascading utilisation strategies, processing-chain analysis, proposal of optimisation strategies) (ii) phytotechnologies (biomining, constructed wetlands, green walls) (iii) circular economy (Cradle to Cradle® projects including certification as official partner, resource recovery, symbiosis of resource streams), (iv) sustainable buildings (including ecosystem services into the building, sustainable materials), (v) sustainable product design (circular design criteria, made for reuse and recycling), (vi) Research project conception, coordination and realisation (H2020 – CIRC, BBI, SCC, SC5, SPIRE, SFS, EeB, EE, LIFE, ERA-NET, ERASMUS, national or regional funds)
Relation with HYDROUSA
alchemia-nova is project initiator and originator and the Technical Innovation Manager of HYDROUSA. They are leader of work package 2 which deals with freshwater production and are deeply involved in all parts of the project.
alchemia-nova is deeply interested to really make impact with this project and change the way water management, food production and water scarcity issues are experienced on our planet.
