HYDRO 5 is an innovative circular system, based on mangroove biomimicry, transforming sea water to fresh-water to irrigate a 200 m2 greenhouse with tropical plants. The system is up and running since May 2020 and we are excited to share the knowledge through workshops with the local community!
Thanks to prof. Kostas Karageorgios and the volunteer local group Filoi Tou Prasinou, students from the Technical School visited the site and explored the possibilities of the creation of high-value post-products like creams and aloe vera jams!Specials thanks to the Municipality of Tinos , Dimitris Michailaris from National Technical University of Athens -NTUA and Tonia Zilianaiou for the commitment to share and amplify the solutions for a circular future!
