HYDROUSA co-organized together EASME and three other H2020 Innovation Action projects (SMART-Plant, NextGen and Project-O) a post-conference workshop on ‘Horizon 2020 Water Innovations for sustainable impacts in industries and utilities’.
The workshop started with a plenary session, where projects pitched their water circular economy solutions to panels of experts representing clients and stakeholders. The plenary was followed with breakout sessions to discuss opportunities and challenges in the market uptake of the proposed circular economy solutions. Five thematic areas were analysed: Water & Energy, Water Reuse, Nutrient Recovery & Recycling, Bio-based Resource Recovery and Recycling and Water-energy-food loops and their implications for water tariffs.
The workshop led to the development of a report which is was jointly adopted by the four projects and the European Commission and is attached. The event and report can also be found at the official website of the EC
