HYDROUSA participated in the two-day workshop “Sustainable Management of Natural Resources in Sifnos” on June 25 & 26, 2022 organised by the Municipality of Sifnos with the participation of several local stakeholder and international projects.. The two-day event included three thematic sections of discussions about water, wetlands and the rural landscape, and aimed to introduce to the local people of Sifnos the European programs that are currently being implemented on the island (STARTS, HYDROUSA, FIT4REUSE, SMILO-MED , COSME-GRAPE) but also in neighboring islands, focusing on issues related to sustainable management of natural resources.

HYDROUSA project was presented by ICRA in the training course titled “Accelerating the transition to circular cities with nature-based solutions for water treatment” in INRAE (French National Research Institute for Agriculture, Food and Environment), Lyon, organised by Multisource project. The coursed was focused on the use of NBS to address circularity. The participants had the opportunity to discuss different concepts as well as different key dimensions for the implementation of NBS for urban water management.
HYDROUSA co-organising a stakeholder workshop on decentralized waste/wastewater management in Limassol, Cyprus

HYDROUSA project (NTUA) co-organised a stakeholder workshop on the 2nd of July on decentralized waste/wastewater management, in the village of Foini, Limassol, Cyprus. The workshop was focused on the management of wastewater and solid waste in the mountainous regions, proposing innovative solutions and ways of funding.
The Department of Environment of Cyprus and the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities were the co-organisers of the event, which was of great success with over 100 local stakeholders attending.
