1st STOP – TINOS
HYDROUSA international partners gathered up on the island of Tinos for the completion & installment of the technical works of the pilot application of HYDRO 5 in the area of Ag.fokas.
2 circular walks have been successfully delivered on Tinos, focusing on the application, by the project’s technical team!
Mindful visitors visited the demo site and were split into groups so that each and everyone could walk easily through the site and have a thorough look into every unit of the application. Participants interacted with the new desalination technologies & a saltwater evaporation greenhouse aiming to enhance local production with new tropical seeds! Moreover, they became acquainted with innovative cultivation processes & got sufficient information on the forecasted impact of these applications for the future of the island.
Representatives of PLANET, Alchemia Nova, Impact Hub Athens, Radtke biotechnic & the Municipality of Tinos were actively involved in the walk’s design & delivery. Dimitris Kokkinakis [Impact Hub Athens] & Evgenia Tsianoy [Alchemia Nova] welcomed the visitors & set the objectives & the frame for the application in focus. Alessandro Zecca [Planet] together with Evgenia presented the two diverse desalination systems while Heiz Gattringer [Alchemia Nova] presented the Greenhouse unit & the tropical seeds.
