WICC was an immense success involving more than 300 key stakeholders and experts from across Europe, around all the burning topics of water management, treatment and reuse. Under that framework of HYDROUSA, The Hellenic Water Association together with the Sanitary Engineering Laboratory of the Department of Water Resources and Environmental Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens hosted the first Water Innovation and Circularity Conference (WICC). The objective was to exchange and elaborate on how Innovation can be coupled with circularity in the water sector to accomplish the transition from a linear to a circular economy. Through this event the consortium had the chance to present all the successfully demonstrated solutions of the valorisation of non-conventional water sources in remote, water scarce areas of the Mediterranean Region that were Implemented through HYDROUSA. The event hosted 123 scientific presentations, 31 posters, 3 keynote speakers and 2 High level workshops.
For the Implementation of the event dedicated graphic materials were developed to communicate the objectives, communicate the structure of the three days conference and honor the contributors (Including physical – digital banners, conference booklet, leaflet, nametags)
